Calgarian Jordan Eberle's performance at the world junior tournament has certainly opened some eyes.

But if there are WHL GMs hoping to acquire his services prior to Saturday's trade deadline, Regina Pats boss Brent Parker has sent a message loud and clear: Get out your cheque books.

Eberle, a Edmonton Oilers first-round draft choice, scored the miracle tying goal in Saturday's semifinal win over the Russians at the world junior tournament, and his trade value has never been higher.

"You'd always listen (to offers), but it would have to be something out of this world for us to even consider it," Parker told the Regina Leader-Post.

Most hockey experts expect Eberle to crack the Oilers roster next season, but Parker is willing to roll the dice.

"As good a player as he is, there's not a lot of 19-year-olds in the NHL. Is there more than there has been? Absolutely.

"Will he play there one day? That goes without saying. But we'll take our chances on having him back next year."
