He came to the Edmonton Oil Kings as a highly-touted European prospect and as first pick in the 2007 CHL Import Draft.

And after a successful weekend, during which he collected three goals and two assists in a pair of victories over the Moose Jaw Warriors and Prince Albert Raiders respectively, Tomas Vincour's stock is quickly rising.

"He's working hard," said Oil Kings head coach Steve Pleau. "He's going to the right areas. He's shooting the puck and doing the little things that he's going to need to be a pro."

A year bigger, a year stronger and with a full grasp of the language, the Czech native is tied for the team lead with 13 goals in 30 games this season.

Vincour's play so far this year could get him an invite to World Junior Championships.
