Tyson Sexsmith is now the king of the crease.

The Vancouver Giants netminder, a San Jose Sharks prospect, recently set the record for most career WHL shutouts when he blanked Prince George for his 22nd goose egg.

"It's a pretty good accomplishment to get, especially coming quite a few games less than the previous holders of the record," Sexsmith told the Prince George Citizen.

"I get credit for it, but it's definitely a team reward and you have to give them most of the credit."

The Priddis, Alta., product set the new mark in 137 games. Bryan Bridges (213 games) and Calgary Flames prospect Leland Irving (195) took significantly longer.

RIVALS SWAP SPARE PARTS

The Regina Pats and Moose Jaw Warriors rarely see eye-to-eye on anything.

But that didn't stop the East Division rivals from completing a trade yesterday. The Pats sent goalie Jeff Bosch to Moose Jaw for centre Neal Prokop.

The deal cleared up Regina's crowded crease. The Pats had been carrying three 'tenders.
