Chilliwack's goal King moves on

The bad news just continues to pile up for the Chilliwack Bruins. They sit in the B.C. Division basement with a 5-10-1-1 record, and their injury list continues to add key names.

The team is struggling to score goals, with just 35 in 17 games.

The only team that has lit the lamp less is the lowly Portland Winter Hawks.

And the Bruins won't be getting back the one player who can help them in the goal-scoring category, as F Oscar Moller is sticking with the NHL's Los Angeles Kings.

Moller scored 83 points (39G, 44A) last season in 63 games. He was Chilliwack's leading goal scorer in his two WHL seasons.

"I don't think you ever expect anybody to make it to the NHL at 19 years old unless you're one of the top two or three picks in the draft," Bruins GM Darrell May told the Chilliwack Progress recently.

"You just can't plan for that."

Hunt finds home in Everett

The Everett Silvertips are the new home for disgruntled former Prince George Cougars F Dale Hunt. Everett sent 17-year-old defenceman Jeff Regier and a 2010 seventh-round pick to the Cougars in exchange for Hunt.
