Divided allegiance

Bruce Hamilton must have been a little stir crazy the other night in Saskatoon. The Kelowna Rockets president/GM would never not cheer for his Rockets, but his son Curtis is in his first season with the Blades. What a dilemma.

"Well ... you know what? I'd like (for Kelowna) to win in overtime and for him to be involved in it." Hamilton told the Kelowna Daily Courier.

The Rockets beat Saskatoon 3-2 in overtime. Hamilton, however, didn't record a point.

BACK TO WORK

Moose Jaw Warriors d-man Keaton Ellerby made a statement in his first game back after being cut by Team Canada. The Florida Panthers first-round pick had one assist and was a rock on the blueline in a 3-2 shootout loss to Regina.

"Not getting to go over at Christmas time is going to be tough, but you've got to be supportive," Ellerby told the Moose Jaw Times Herald. "Holzy (Riley Holzapfel) made it, so you've got to support him and wish for the best and hope they bring home another gold."
