SUN THREE STARS

1. Tyler Ennis, Tigers -- Rewarded for his efforts with the insurance goal.

2. Ryan White, Hitmen -- Snakebitten centre created several chances.

3. Kris Russell, Tigers -- Minute-eating defenceman collected an assist.

TURNING POINT

The Hitmen still had a shot at pulling even in the third period but a costly give away -- Derek LeBlanc couldn't handle a poorly planned cross-ice pass in the defensive zone -- led to a Tyler Ennis tally to make it a 3-1 game.

SAVE OF THE GAME

Calgary was pressing for the equalizer early in the third period and pulling out all the stops to the point defenceman Dylan Yeo was in front of the Tigers net and deflected Alex Plante's point shot. Medicine Hat goalie Matt Keetley reacted in time to block the redirection and corral the puck with his trapper.

HIT OF THE GAME

Only a few minutes into the first period, Medicine Hat's Tyler Ennis was heading up the ice when Calgary's Brett Plouffe buried him into the boards with a huge check.

NOTABLE

The NHL's Central Scouting Bureau released its final list for the 2007 draft, with Hitmen D Karl Alzner ranked fifth among North American skaters. D Alex Plante is rated 72nd and C/LW Brett Sonne was 94th.
