TURNING POINT

The Hitmen scored twice in a span of 2:19 late in the middle frame. Robin Figren, on a beautiful individual effort, and Derek LeBlanc, who one-timed a Steve Covington feed, gave Calgary a 3-0 lead and were able to play the checking game in the third period.

SAVE OF THE GAME

Medicine Hat G Matt Keetley made a big stop with the left pad on Ian Duval early in the second period. He also shut down Robin Figren on the rebound.
