The Hitmen are coming off an emotional seventh-game overtime win over the heavily-favoured Kootenay Ice. The Wheat Kings dispatched Prince Albert in five games, although the first two wins came in O.T.

This is the third time Brandon and Calgary have met in the pre-season. Brandon won in both 1998 and 2005 ... Wheat Kings G Tyler Plante, the older brother of Hitmen D Alex, has a 2.33 GAA in the playoffs ... The Plante bros. won't be the only sibling rivalry in the series.
