OHL playoff preview

The defending OHL champion Peterborough Petes didn't make the playoffs but two of their former stars will play a big part in determining who wins this spring.

Ex-Petes forwards Steve Downie, who was traded to Kitchener, and Daniel Ryder, now in Plymouth, are major figures in the strong Western Conference, in which the top-seeded London Knights are vying for a third straight trip to the OHL final.

There is excitement in Sarnia and Oshawa, where the Sting and Generals both return to the postseason for the first time in three years, albeit with rookie-laden rosters.
