The 67's started a big week on the right foot last night in Peterborough.

Lukas Flueler made 29 saves and Arron Alphonso's goal at 19:06 of the first period stood as the winner in a 3-2 Ottawa victory over the Petes.

The win snapped a four-game losing streak for the 67's, moving them out of the East Division basement and into a third-place tie with the Petes.

The two teams meet in a return engagement tonight (7:30) at the Civic Centre. Ottawa then hosts the Kingston Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.

The Frontenacs are now one point behind the 67's and Petes.

"Flueler had another strong game, he played solid," said 67's owner Jeff Hunt. "These games are all pretty important now."

ERASE EARLY DEFICIT

The 67's erased a 1-0 deficit with three straight goal by Matt Lahey, Cody Lindsay and Alphonso.

Brendan Taylor narrowed the gap for Peterborough with just over five minutes to go, but Flueler closed the door the rest of the way.
