Millions of Canadians will be glued to the TV today watching Canada's juniors go for gold against Russia at the world junior hockey championship in Sweden (TSN, 11:30 a.m.).

But rest assured players from the Calgary Hitmen will be a little more intent as teammate Karl Alzner suits up on the Canadian blueline.

Hitmen forward Brodie (Moose) Dupont, who was at the national team summer camp, will certainly be watching.

"We're not going to do anything too crazy but I might drive over to (Steve Covington's) and watch over there," said Dupont.

The players won't be celebrating too much because they'll play the Lethbridge Hurricanes tonight (Saddledome, 7 p.m.).

"It's a huge game for not only Karl but Canada, so I'll be tuning in," said Hitmen forward Brett Sonne.
