Vancouver Giants have three more games until the Western Hockey League's Christmas break. But they'll be without three players when they host the Seattle Thunderbirds tomorrow (7 p.m. AM 730).

The Giants are missing defencemen Cody Franson and Brendan Mikkelson and forward Kenndal McArdle. The trio is in Calgary trying out for Canada's entry in the 2007 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship in Sweden. They'll get chances to impress the defending gold medalist's coaching squad in scrimmages tonight and tomorrow. Camp concludes Thursday with an exhibition against Canadian university all-stars.

B.C. division leading Giants finish the pre-Christmas schedule against U.S. division leading Everett Silvertips on Friday at the Pacific Coliseum (7:30 p.m. AM 730) and Saturday in Everett.

Giants then get 11 days off before finishing the calendar year with home games against the Kamloops Blazers on Dec. 28 and Chilliwack Bruins on Dec. 30.
