Unlike the Vancouver Canucks, the Vancouver Giants know how to kill a slump.

Giants lost three in a row until outscoring opponents 10-1 in a pair of weekend Western Hockey League games.

Six Giants had a goal each in the 6-1 win over the Portland Winterhawks in a Friday road game.

Giants returned home to start a three-game homestand with a 4-0 Saturday win over the Kelowna Rockets. Michal Repik and Milan Lucic had second period goals. Cody Franson and James Wright doubled the score in the third. Tyson Sexsmith needed to make only 13 saves for his fourth shutout.

Giants host the Seattle Thunderbirds on Wednesday and Everett Silvertips on Friday.
