Giants taking aim at Spokane

Western Hockey League-leading Vancouver Giants hope to prolong their regulation-time unbeaten streak when the Spokane Chiefs visit the Pacific Coliseum Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Vancouverites will get to check the progress of Canucks' 2006 first-round pick Michael Grabner, who has six goals and an assist in seven games. His 5-4 Chiefs lost their second overtime game Sunday 4-3 to the Seattle Thunderbirds, who shocked the Giants 2-1 in overtime on Saturday.

Saskatoon Blades visit Vancouver Saturday at 7 p.m. Expansion Chilliwack Bruins have just one win in 11 games. Their latest defeat was 8-0 to the visiting Everett Silvertips on Sunday at Prospera Centre. Port Coquitlam's Zach Hamill led Everett with two goals.

Bruins visit the Kelowna Rockets on Friday and return home Saturday to host the Chiefs at 7 p.m. Portland Winter Hawks visit "the 'wack" on Sunday at 5 p.m.
