Vancouver Giants are one win away from their first Western Hockey League title.

Giant J.D. Watt scored twice last night to edge the host Moose Jaw Warriors 2-1 and take a 3-0 lead in the best-of seven series.

Giants will advance to next week's Memorial Cup in Moncton, N.B. if they win tonight's Game 4 in the Saskatchewan city (6 p.m., MOJO Sports Radio/Shaw TV).

Troy Brouwer gave Moose Jaw the lead on a power play goal at 2:39 of the second period from Kenny McArdle and Matthew Hansen. Watt tied the game on a power play with 1:43 left in the second and scored the winner at 4:37 of the third.

Paul Albers assisted both Vancouver goals. WHL player of the week Gilbert Brule and Jason Reese also had helpers.

Giants killed a late penalty to remain unbeaten on the road in the 2006 playoffs.

"They came out strong and (Giants' goaltender) Dustin Slade made some great stops," Watt said. "It would be a great thing to sweep them in the final round."

Slade stopped 24 of 25 shots. Giants peppered Moose Jaw netminder Joey Perricone with 35.
