Last year's London Knights defensive unit is scattered in different directions.

Captain Danny Syvret was sent by the Edmonton Oilers yesterday to the AHL Hamilton Bulldogs.

Bryan Rodney is going to the East Coast league's Charlotte Checkers, the New York Rangers' farm club, in two days. He'll be joined there by Dan Girardi, who last year was an over-age defenceman with the Knights.

"We're actually living together," Rodney said. "I didn't have a good camp (with the Rangers), but it was much better in Hartford (AHL). We had two weeks and I started to feel more comfortable with the puck. I played in an exhibition game and had a goal and assist."

The fourth Knights blueliner, Marc Methot, was sent to the Columbus Blue Jackets' AHL affiliate Syracuse Crunch on the weekend.

Other ex-Knights in the news include Corey Perry, who made the Anaheim Mighty Ducks, and forward Dan Fritsche, who is going to stick with the Blue Jackets.
