First Period

1. London, Fritsche 3 (Syvret, Dennis) 3:45 (pp)

Playing with a two-man advantage, Danny Fritsche carried the puck down the right wing and fired a low shot that somehow got through Cedrick Desjardins' skates. Assists went to Adam Dennis and Danny Syvret, who moved the puck up ice.

2. London, Rodney 1 (Schremp, Fritsche) 17:00

It was Rob Schremp who made the thrust into the Rimouski end, cutting through the defence and firing a shot that Desjardins stopped. But Desjardins was then out of his net and out of position as Bryan Rodney jumped on the rebound and chipped it high into the gaping net.

David Bolland scored going into Desjardin's crease to jam a puck home as he and Fritsche battled for it on the doorstep after a shot on net by Rodney. The play was reviewed but quickly declared a goal.

Third Period

4. London, Schremp 1 (Perry) 2:34

Corey Perry stole the puck at the Oceanic blue-line, stickhanded in and slipped a pass to Schremp, who snapped it low past Desjardins.

In the afternoon, Oceanic star Sidney Crosby was named Canadian Hockey League player of the year. In the evening, he scored a goal and added an assist to help subdue the 67's.

WEDNESDAY: Rimouski 4, Kelowna 3

Down 4-1 after two periods, the desperate Rockets got two goals by Blake Comeau in the third period, but couldn't find the equalizer.

THURSDAY: London 5, Ottawa 2

Ottawa scored first, but London pumped five goals past Battochio, including three on the power play, to advance to the final. Gerald Coleman made his first start in net for the Knights during the tournament.

SATURDAY: Rimouski 7, Ottawa 4

Phenom Sidney Crosby has the individual game of the Cup with three goals and two assists in the semifinal.

YESTERDAY: London 4, Rimouski 0

The Knights completely shut down Crosby and Rimouski's Fab Five as Adam Dennis records just the second shutout in a Cup final since 1972. The Knights win London's first Memorial Cup title.
