LONDON -- Danny Battochio delivered his usual solid performance in net for the 67's last night.

He started despite suffering an injured collarbone during Wednesday's practice when he was hit by a slap shot from Jakub Petruzalek.

Battochio stopped 45 shots during last night's 5-2 loss to the Knights in the final game of the round-robin of the Memorial Cup tournament.

The injury didn't affect Battochio's play.

"It just goes away and it didn't bother me," said Battochio, who said after being injured on Wednesday that he'd monitor the pain on game day to see if it would affect his availability for last night's game.

MOVEMENT HINDERED?

When Dan Girardi scored on a wrist shot from the point to tie the game in the first period, beating Battochio high on the glove side, it appeared that the injury might have hindered the goalie's movement with his glove hand.

"I don't know if the puck tipped off someone's shoulder or what," said Battochio.

"I lost it at the last second. I'm going to have to re-look at that one myself and see if I can learn something off of it."

Battochio's teammates praised him for delivering another great effort.

"The injury didn't affect him at all and he played fine," said Ottawa captain Will Colbert.
