1. TYLER PLANTE, Brandon -- The rookie goalie earned the victory with 32 stops.

2. LANCE MONYCH, Brandon -- Put the game away with a deadly one-timer in the third.

3. JUSTIN POGGE, Calgary -- Was solid between the pipes for the Hitmen and made some great saves to keep it close.

HITMEN SPARKPLUG:

Brodie (Moose) Dupont brought the intensity and hustled hard every single shift.

TURNING POINT:

A bad break for Calgary led to Jakub Sindel's first goal when Dylan Yeo's breakout pass hit a teammate's skate and the puck landed on Sindel's stick.

WHAT IT MEANS:

For the second straight game the Wheat Kings stave off elimination and live to fight in Game 7 tomorrow night in Brandon.

HIT OF THE GAME:

Calgary's Ryan Getzlaf sent the crowd into a frenzy with two huge hits on the same shift in the first period. First Getzlaf crushed Jakub Sindel in the Brandon corner, then took out Tim Konsorada on the other side.

SAVE OF THE GAME:

With the Hitmen trailing 1-0 in the second, Justin Pogge robbed Jeff Topilko from in tight with a great glove save after he took a feed from Ryan Stone.

Prior to last night's game, Rookie D Karl Alzner led all Hitmen in the playoffs with a plus-7, while RW Konstantin Pushkarev's minus-5 was worst on the team ... The last time the Hitmen played a Game 7 was a year ago when they lost to the Red Deer Rebels at the Centrium.
