John Hecimovic and Daniel Carcillo each had two goals and an assist to lead the Mississauga IceDogs to a 6-2 win over the Toronto St. Michael's Majors in Game 2 of their OHL Eastern Conference quarter-final series yesterday at St. Mike's Arena.

Hecimovic's power-play goal at 15:24 of the second period broke a 2-2 tie as the IceDogs evened the series 1-1.

The win gave the IceDogs home-ice advantage again, though neither club has won at home in the first two games. Game 3 is tomorrow (7 p.m.) at the Hershey Centre.

"That's more our style," said IceDogs defenceman Kyle Quincey. "We needed to win it. I'm not sure what the difference was (from Game 1), but I think we just came to play. The fans were into it, and they were really chirping us. It was a good atmosphere."

Vladimir Svacina and Adam Abraham also scored for the IceDogs while Justin Donati and Colin Power replied for St. Michael's.

The Majors lost captain Nathan McIver to an undisclosed injury in the second period.
