CALGARY HITMEN VS. RED DEER REBELS, 7 P.M., 'DOME, FAN 960

COMING IN:

Calgary's offence got it going Wednesday in a 5-1 triumph over lowly Moose Jaw. The Hitmen are now 31-21-8-3 and trail Medicine Hat by two points for second place in the Central Division. The Rebels (31-22-4-4), losers of their last two, are fourth in the Central, three behind the Hitmen.

HEAD-TO-HEAD:

This is the eighth of 10 meetings between the rivals and, so far, Calgary holds a 4-1-1-1 edge.

WHO'S HOT:

* HITMEN -- Since returning from a concussion Feb.19, F Ryan Getzlaf has two goals and four assists in his last three games. With Getzlaf back, LW Andrew Ladd has four points in those three games.

* REBELS -- F Roman Wick has Red Deer's only goal in the last two games.

WHO'S NOT:

* HITMEN -- RW Steve Covington has been snake-bit since Jan. 2 -- a span of 24 games -- as he tries to find the back of the net.

* REBELS -- LW Ty Morris has just one assist in his last four games and is minus-3.

INJURIES:

* HITMEN -- D Darryl Yacboski (shoulder, day-to-day), F Roman Tomanek (shoulder, week-to-week).

* REBELS -- LW Joel Henituik (shoulder, day-today), C Tyler Johnson (shoulder, day-to-day).

SPECIAL TEAMS:

Powerplay -- Hitmen 17.7% (9th), Rebels 18.9% (6th).

Penalty Kill -- Hitmen 84.4% (9th), Rebels 80.1% (17th).

NOTABLES:

For the first time in the 10-year history of the Hitmen franchise, the club is going to retire a number. Brad Moran's No. 20 will ascend to the Saddledome rafters tonight as the team honours its all-time leading scorer. Hitmen officials are hoping to set a new regular-season attendance record at the 'Dome.
