VANCOUVER GIANTS AT CALGARY HITMEN, 7 P.M., 'DOME, RADIO: FAN 960, CH. 10

COMING IN:

The Hitmen won the last two games of their three-game road trip. The Giants were 1-1-1 in the first three games of their six-game roadie, prior to last night's game in Medicine Hat.

HEAD-TO-HEAD:

The two clubs split a pair of November games. Calgary crushed a tired Giants squad, on the last game of a five-game trip, 7-2 but the G-Men exacted revenge weeks later, blanking the Hitmen, who were finishing a seven-game journey, 3-0.

WHO'S HOT:

HITMEN -- LW Konstantin Pushkarev, who scored the OT winner in Regina, has been on fire since the Christmas break. He was averaging .60 points per game over the first half but is up to 1.05 since then.

GIANTS -- LW Mitch Bartley (5 goals) and C Adam Courchaine (2 goals, 5 points) have carried the mail on this road trip.

WHO'S NOT:

HITMEN -- RW Steve Covington has gone 16 games without a goal.

GIANTS -- C Gilbert Brule has been held to one goal on the road trip and has fallen five points behind league-leader Eric Fehr of Brandon.

SPECIAL TEAMS

Powerplay -- Calgary 17.1% (53-310, 8th); Vancouver 16.4% (50-305, 13th).

Penalty killing -- Calgary 83.9% (10th); Vancouver 85.4% (6th).

INJURIES:

HITMEN -- C Ryan Getzlaf (concussion, day to day), D Darryl Yacboski (shoulder, day to day), D Brett Carson (concussion, day to day).

GIANTS -- D Mark Fistric (jaw, indefinite).

NOTABLES:

The Giants have never won at the Saddledome. Calgary is 7-2-1 against Vancouver since the G-Men entered the league in 2001 ... D-men Darryl Yacboski and Brett Carson will likely return to the lineup tonight but C Ryan Getzlaf is "not close" according to team officials.
