1. Brodie Dupont, Hitmen: The rookie tallied twice, including the game-winner, which came in the second period from the redline.

2. Justin Pogge, Hitmen: Stood tall between the pipes, making several big saves, especially in the first period.

3. Ty Morris, Rebels: The 20-year-old forward continued his solid play this year by scoring his 23rd goal of the season.

HARDEST WORKER:

Darryl Yacboski, Hitmen: The big blueliner had a whale of a game, punctuated with several massive bodychecks.

TURNING POINT:

Brodie Dupont scored a second period goal from inside the redline that bounced in front of Rebels goalie Gerry Festa and went in, putting Calgary up 2-1.

HIT OF THE GAME:

Calgary rearguard Darryl Yacboski laid the smack down on Cam Lilley with a huge first-period hit inside the Hitmen blueline, sending the Crossfield product flying into the boards. In the third, Yacboski also leveled Dion Phaneuf twice in one shift with two hard checks.

SAVE OF THE GAME:

Rebels sniper Roman Wick thought he had a goal after taking a cross-crease pass from Colin Fraser but Hitmen goalie Justin Pogge came left to right and made a great blocker save.

SCRATCHES:

Hitmen -- F Darryl Moscaluk (ankle, week to week), F Ryan Getzlaf (concussion, 1 to 2 weeks).

Rebels -- Jared Walker (shoulder, day to day), D Eric Frere (healthy), D Pierre-Paul Lamoureux (healthy).

NOTEWORTHY:

The Hitmen host the Prince George Cougars tomorrow night (Saddledome, 7 p.m., FAN 960, SHAW TV). The contest marks the return to the Dome of goalie Scott Bowles, blueliner Andy Rogers and forward Lee Zalasky, all of whom were dealt to PG at the WHL trade deadline earlier this month.
