GRAND FORKS, N.D. (CP) - Marcus Kink scored the tying goal at 13:44 of the third period and Andre Reiss got the winner with 1:53 left as Germany rallied to beat Belarus 4-3 Monday in a match between relegated teams at the world junior championship.
Fabio Carciola and Alexander Janzen also scored for Germany, who picked up their only win at the tournament to clinch ninth place among the 10 teams.
Alexey Ugarov, with two, and Konstantin Zakharov replied for Belarus, which finished last.
Both teams had already been relegated down a division for next year's competition.
Later Tuesday, Sweden played Finland in the fifth-place game.
