Peter Tsimikalis has extended his AWOL streak.

One of the 67's top players, Tsimikalis did not show up for practice at the Civic Centre yesterday, and coach Brian Kilrea has still not heard from him since he sent the third-year centre to the dressing room during the first period of Saturday's game in Owen Sound.

Tsimikalis went from the dressing room to his home in Toronto, and did not show up for the 67's game in Guelph on Sunday.

"He hasn't contacted me," said Kilrea, who conceded that he might call Tsimikalis today. "I don't know what he's thinking."

Kilrea played down the exchange on the bench and denied he had a serious problem with Tsimikalis, who is now back in Ottawa.

"I think he works hard," said Kilrea. "He always did.

"The whole team hasn't been playing well."

NO TRADE

The 67's are also not looking to trade Tsimikalis, a front-liner who has six goals and 12 assists in 21 games.

"Why should I?" asked Kilrea. "Right now, I'm trying to get our team to play better, and he's a good player. I'm just waiting to see what happens.

"All I know is he hasn't talked to me or Bert (assistant coach, O'Brien). Everyone gets upset, even coaches.

"All I know is that right now I don't have him in the lineup. He's not playing."
