SUN THREE STARS:

1. Andrew Ladd, Hitmen -- Scored two goals, one on the powerplay and one shorthanded.

2. Daniel Spence, Hitmen -- The rookie netminder, making his second straight start, made some spectacular saves (34 in all) and helped the Hitmen to the tie.

3. Colton Yellowhorn, Hurricanes -- Three assists and was a thorn in the Hitmen's collective side all night long.

HARDEST WORKER:

Brodie Dupont had a solid game for the Hitmen and nearly scored on a third-period breakaway.

TURNING POINT:

Calgary's Andrew Ladd scored a shorthanded goal with the Hitmen killing a six-minute powerplay during the second period.

SAVE OF THE GAME:

Calgary goalie Daniel Spence was on fire right from the get-go, robbing John Lammers in the first two minutes. Lammers took a one-time feed but Spence moved speedily from his right to left and got a pad on what looked like a sure powerplay goal for Lethbridge.

HIT OF THE GAME:

Calgary rookie forward Issac Reid skated all the way across the ice and drilled Kenny Petkau with a solid hip check at the redline.

HITMEN SCRATCHES:

Hitmen D Andy Rogers (ankle), D Tyler Harder (concussion), F Darryl Moscaluk (healthy scratch).

NEXT UP:

The Brandon Wheat Kings are in town tomorrow night (Saddledome, 7 p.m., The Fan 960) as the Hitmen play their fourth of a seven game homestand.
