The 67's have sent a tape to the OHL of last weekend's incident that resulted in an injury to goalie Danny Battochio.

"I think it's something they should look at, and I hope they do something about it," 67's coach and GM Brian Kilrea said yesterday.

Battochio suffered a separated shoulder after a collision with Sean Courtney of the Saginaw Spirit during a game Saturday in Saginaw, Mich.

Battochio, the 67's No. 1 netminder, injured his left shoulder and is expected to miss at least two weeks.

The 67's have accused Courtney of slew-footing Battochio by sticking out his leg and making contact with the back of the goalie's knee while he played the puck at the side of the net during the second period.

According to the official game report posted on the OHL website, Courtney received a minor penalty for hooking on the play. Four officials worked the game, including referees Mark Hicks and Shaun Davis.

Battochio had stopped 18 shots before the injury. Backup Anthony Guadagnolo took over and completed a 5-0 victory, the first shutout for the 67's this season.

Ted Baker, the league's referee-in-chief, said the OHL would review the incident because it resulted in an injury to a player.

In such cases, OHL president Dave Branch and Baker make decisions on suspensions.
