Condor runs amok at ECHL game

The Bakersfield Condors, known for their gaudy choices in marketing campaigns, like their Michael Jackson-themed jerseys and the Justin Bieber contract offer, brought a live condor to the opening ceremonies of their Friday night game against the Las Vegas Wranglers.

As expected, the Andean condor was anxious during the playing of the U.S. national anthem. The bird of prey, which has a wingspan of three metres, got away from its wrangler and managed to hop the Bakersfield bench.

Bakersfield head coach Matt O’Dette managed to avoid the bird as arena staff scrambled to get a hold of it.

The Condors lost the game 4-1.

Would Patrick Roy make a good coach for the Colorado Avalanche?
  Yes, he's perfect
  No, he's not ready
  Bring him to Montreal!
