NORFOLK ADMIRALS (4-6) 3

MANITOBA MOOSE (8-5-2) 1

THREE STARS

1. Norfolk G Dustin Tokarski -- The man who led Canada to its fifth consecutive gold medal at the world junior hockey championship in Ottawa isn't overworked but makes 25 saves in a winning effort.

2. Norfolk F Brandon Bochenski -- The veteran shows his soft hands with a power play goal in the third period that proves to be the game-winner.

3. Manitoba F Dusty Collins -- The new energy-line centre was buzzing throughout the contest and finished with three shots on goal and several big hits.

THE SKINNY

The Admirals weren't flashy, but were extremely efficient and did a nice job defensively and got a sound performance from Tokarski to earn a victory.

THE FIRST

Moose tough guy Matt McCue notched his first professional goal late in the first period.

THE INFIRMARY

Already without RW Matt Pope (high ankle sprain) and D Lawrence Nycholat (knee, shoulder), the Moose won't have the services of RW Guillaume Desbiens for four to six weeks because of a foot injury suffered blocking a shot in Friday's shootout win.

THE RETURN

With all of the injuries and recalls, the Moose brought back F Olivier Latendresse on a 25-game pro tryout offer and he found himself on the top line with Marty Murray and Sergei Shirokov. Latendresse had five points in eight games for the Victoria Salmon Kings and was tied for the team scoring lead.

THE SCHEDULE

The Moose close out a four-game homestand tonight with a rematch against the Admirals. Game time is 7:35 p.m.
