Of all the teams that have taken points from the Manitoba Moose this season, it's the Rochester Americans who have stung the hardest.

The two American Hockey League rivals meet again tonight and tomorrow at the MTS Centre as the Moose try to do something they haven't done in four previous tries -- earn a victory over the North Division leaders.

Of the four losses, one was fairly one-sided (a 6-3 win on Oct. 8), another was in overtime (a 4-3 affair on Nov. 17) and the two others featured rallies by the Americans and/or collapses by the Moose, who couldn't hold leads on Dec. 5 or 6.

'Should have won'

"The last three games against them were all games we should have won," said Moose head coach Scott Arniel, who spent the four previous seasons as an assistant coach with the Buffalo Sabres and is quite familiar with their prospects. "The one there in their building, we outplayed them dramatically and the last two here we had leads and we blew it. We shot ourselves in the foot. We made some mistakes and they capitalized on them."

FRESH NEW LOOK: For tomorrow's game, the Moose will honour Hockey Canada and sport white, red and black jerseys with the Moose logo on the front.

"It's going to be a very sharp looking night for our hockey team," said Scott Brown, director of corporate communications and hockey operations for True North Sports and Entertainment, noting that six of the jerseys will be auctioned off during the game.

Canadian national women's team centre Jennifer Botterill will be on hand to raise the 2007 World Women's Hockey Championship banner prior to the contest.

The Hockey Hall of Fame will also have an international hockey display on the concourse of the MTS Centre tomorrow night.

The World Women's Championship will be held in Winnipeg and Selkirk from April 3 to 10.

BERNIER DEMOTED: Right-winger Marc-Andre Bernier was mired in a funk and was assigned to the Victoria Salmon Kings of the ECHL yesterday to help restore his confidence.
