Chatting with ... Joe Rullier
By KEN WIEBE -- Winnipeg Sun

What was your first job? (He shakes his head).

Not even delivering papers or anything like that? Nope. I've never worked in my life (other than as a pro hockey player).

What's your favourite movie? Braveheart.

Why? Because it gives you chills when you watch it and the message of believing in what you do.

Favourite band or artist? Linkin Park.

Favourite food? Sushi. I don't know. I just love it. And Schwartz's smoked meat, which is legendary in Montreal. My dad always brought it home on Sundays.

Letterman or Leno? Leno.

Did the Liberal party make the right decision in selecting Stephane Dion as their new leader? I don't know. I don't follow politics.

What was the last book you read? The Power of Intention (by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer). It's a way to see life and how to be positive in life.

What would you be doing if you weren't a pro hockey player? Probably be a chiropractor, working with athletes. Or I'd like to flip houses. You know, buy a house, renovate it and sell it.

So does that mean you spend a lot of time watching TLC shows? Yeah, I watch Flip That House. My parents are in real estate and it's a good living.

But could you do some of the renovating work yourself? Of course, I would learn. I'm not a handyman right now but like anything, you have to start somewhere.

Do you have any hobbies? Not really. I like to go to the gym a lot and work out.

Who was your favourite player growing up? Chris Chelios. He played for the Habs. He was good offensively, good defensively and was mean.

Did you pattern your game around his? Yeah, I always wanted to play like him.

Do you think the NHL will ever return to Quebec City?
  Yes, no matter what
  Yes, with a new rink
  No, market too small
  No, not a priority
  Unsure
