- OCTOBER 15 AT BLUE CROSS ARENA

MANITOBA 7 ROCHESTER 2

Winnipeggers played a prominent role for both sides. Lee Goren scored a hat trick for the Moose while Jason Botterill had two goals, both coming on the power play, in a losing cause. Wade Flaherty, in his first start for the Moose, made 28 saves. The Moose chased Ryan Miller, who gave up six goals on 15 shots.

- OCTOBER 29 AT BLUE CROSS ARENA

MANITOBA 3 ROCHESTER 2 (OT)

Following a scoreless opening period, Nathan Paetsch and rookie sensation Thomas Vanek staked the Americans to a 2-0 advantage. Peter Sarno made it a one-goal game before the end of the period and Jason King forced overtime with a third period marker. Captain Nolan Baumgartner's point shot during a power play 23 seconds into the extra period was the difference. Wade Flaherty played a big role with 38 saves.

- MARCH 5 AT MTS CENTRE

ROCHESTER 5 MANITOBA 4

The Americans came out swinging with four goals in the opening 12 minutes, including two with the man advantage. Jason King cued the comeback with a power-play marker at 14:34. A pair of goals in the second period put the Moose in striking distance, but Paul Gaustad provided the eventual game-winner at 4:42 of the third. Wade Flaherty was pulled after giving up four goals on 13 shots, while Ryan Miller made 37 saves.

- MARCH 6 AT MTS CENTRE

ROCHESTER 5 MANITOBA 4 (OT)

The Moose had four different one-goal leads but were unable to hold any of them before Thomas Vanek broke the trend of trading goals at 1:37 of overtime. The Americans struck for three power-play goals, while the Moose responded with one. Backup Tom Askey made 15 saves for the win, while Alex Auld was stuck with the loss after making 21 saves.
