The Maple Leafs have lost yet another potential free agent target in Mike Cammalleri.

After watching the Sedin twins re-sign in Vancouver and Mattias Ohlund opt for a seven-year deal with the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Leafs saw Cammalleri jump to the rival Montreal Canadiens for a five-year, $30 million US deal Wednesday afternoon.

Less than 24 hours after acquiring Scott Gomez from the New York Rangers, Habs general manager Bob Gainey already had added Cammalleri and defencemen Hal Gill and Miroslav Spacek through the first five hours of free agency.

Cammalleri registered 39 goals and added 43 assists for 82 points with the Calgary Flames last season.
