AUGUSTA, GA. - Mark O'Meara, the 1998 champion, withdrew from the Masters on Thursday with a reported rib injury.
O'Meara, 55, was scheduled to tee off at 11:08 a.m. (EDT) Thursday with Chez Reavie and Martin Laird. He won't be replaced in the field.
O'Meara birdied the final two holes Sunday in 1998 to win his only green jacket. A few months later, he added the Open Championship, but he hasn't made the cut at Augusta National since 2005.
