Nagging back pain has forced Brad Fritsch to withdraw from another PGA Tour event.

The Manotick golfer dropped out of the Frys.com Open — the 2013-14 season opener — because of a bulging disc in his back prior to Saturday’s third round in San Martin, Calif.

Fritsch also withdrew from the RBC Canadian Open in Oakville in July with back problems prior to the third round.

“Once again, it’s my back,” Fritsch tweeted Saturday. “I’ll get this fixed, figured out, whatever it takes. I love it too much not to do it. #bearwithme”

The decision came in the wake of a very promising second round as Fritsch shot 7-under to move into the top 20.

Fritsch is in the field for next week’s Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas.
