Graham DeLaet isn’t predicting it, but he is setting a high goal after finishing just one shot back of winner Adam Scott to kick off the FedEx Cup playoffs in style at the Barclays on Sunday.

“It would be nice to win the FedEx Cup playoffs. That’s not really a shot in the dark, but it’s a really high goal because I’m a long way behind the leaders,” DeLaet said.

“At the same time, I feel like I’m playing good enough to get a win and if I can do that, I can jump right into the hunt. Going into the playoffs, the goal was to get to (the Tour Championship), but after this week, I think I can kind of aim a little bit higher than that,” he added.

DeLaet is now seventh on the FedEx Cup playoff points list, which makes his goal of being in the top 30 that get into the Tour Championship more than a dream, especially with the momentum he gained at Liberty National with his T2 finish.
