GULLANE, SCOTLAND - They will each face their own particular question, drag the baggage out Sunday for the final round onto what amounts to be the sizzling tarmac that Muirfield has become at the 142nd British Open championship.

Leader Lee Westwood, 40, a standout performer for the last half a decade at the majors, but never capable of closing the deal, carries a two-shot lead over Americans Tiger Woods, chasing his first major in five years, and Hunter Mahan, still stinging after fading down the stretch at last month’s U.S. Open, also in search of his first major.
