Muirfield is going to be hard this week, both in the literal and the figurative sense.

That’s why world No. 1 Tiger Woods took a month off to rest and rehabilitate his ailing left elbow, originally injured at The Players Championship and aggravated at last month’s U.S. Open at Merion.

Woods declared his elbow good to go Tuesday in pursuit of his first major in five years. He’s been stuck on 14 major wins in his pursuit of Jack Nicklaus’ record 18.
