Dressed in a shirt the same crimson red as the one he wore on that Sunday, Rory McIlroy watched a highlight reel of his record-setting PGA Championship victory last year at Kiawah Island.

The clothes were similar, but as McIlroy participated in the media day for this August's PGA Championship Monday at Oak Hill Country Club, the differences were striking.

Upstate New York is a far different venue than the windy shores of South Carolina, Oak Hill is a traditional parkland layout as opposed to the penal seaside Kiawah, and McIlroy's game is poles apart from the one that saw him break Jack Nicklaus' tournament-winning margin record by one, with an eight-shot victory.
