Canadian Brad Fritsch has withdrawn from this week's PGA Tour event with a back injury.

Fritsch tweeted Wednesday he has given up his spot in the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial in Fort Worth, Texas because of back pain.

Fritsch said he "probably aggravated it quite a bit" playing Friday and Saturday at the HP Byron Nelson Championship in Irving, Texas. Fritsch made the cut at that event, but didn't play Sunday as the field was chopped further. He finished in a tie for 75th.

A tour rookie, Fritsch is 119th on the money list with $334,967 this season. The top 125 at season's end keep their cards.

Canadians Graham DeLaet, Mike Weir and David Hearn remain in the Colonial field.
