It was a good day for Canadian golfers at the HP Byron Nelson Championship on Friday.

Graham DeLaet, of Weyburn, Sask., is tied for seventh with five other golfers after wrapping up the day with his second-straight 67 during second-round play in Irving, Texas.

DeLaet is five shots off the lead, held by American Keegan Bradley at 11-under.

Fellow Canuck Stephen Ames, of Calgary, shot a 68 to sit in a tie for 13th, one behind DeLaet.

Meanwhile, Mike Weir looks to have his game back after carding back-to-back 68s, seven shots off the tournament lead.

It has been nearly three years since the native of Brights Grove, Ont., has shot in the 60s on consecutive days at a PGA event, struggling with his game and health issues.
