Thursdays sure are eventful for Brad Fritsch.

One week after his son, Jesse Paul, was born while he was playing the 17th hole at the Tampa Bay Championship, the Manotick golfer turned in an excellent first round Thursday at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in Orlando.

Fritsch, a PGA Tour rookie, carded a 4-under 68 in one of the final groups of the day, putting him in a tie for third with John Rollins. Fritsch sits three strokes back of leader Justin Rose and one back of John Huh.

Are you surprised Don Cherry backed Daniel Alfredsson's comments?

It's Don Cherry - who knows what he will say.
