LA QUINTA, CALIF. - Brad Fritsch stood on the tee of the 108th hole of the last PGA Tour Qualifying School as we know it and turned to caddie Jeff Scott.

A lot of thoughts were running through his head, including which club to hit off the tee of the par-4.

The 35-year-old from Manotick, Ont., had come here with a Tour card already in his pocket thanks to his 18th place finish on the Web.com Tour money list, but he was looking to finish better than 17th this week. With about 50 players graduating from the Web.com Tour and Q-School, Fritsch started the week looking at a ranking around No. 36 among the class of 2012.

Monday, he was continuing his charge up the ranks.
