Westwood to rejoin PGA
By SPORTS NETWORK

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FLA. - England's Lee Westwood has decided to rejoin the PGA Tour for the 2012 season.

Westwood announced that he will divide his time between the European Tour and the PGA Tour next year, meaning he will be obligated to participate in at least 15 events in the United States. He will also be eligible for the FedEx Cup playoffs.

"It just felt right in a Ryder Cup year to commit to a full program in the United States," Westwood stated. "The FedEx Cup looked pretty good on TV this year. I thought it would be great to give it a go, having never taken part."

Westwood, the current world No. 3, said his involvement in the United States will not affect his European Tour commitments.

After benching Brad Richards should the New York Rangers eventually just buy him out?
  Yes.
  Might be a good idea.
  No.
  Not sure.
