Two-time winner Jim Furyk will compete in the 2010 RBC Canadian Open, further strengthening a field that already includes the likes of defending champ Nathan Green, Anthony Kim, Camilo Villegas, Retief Goosen and Fred Couples.

Furyk, fifth in the world rankings and winner of the 2006 and 2007 Canadian Opens, confirmed Thursday that he would play in the tournament July 19-25 at St. George's Golf and Country Club in Toronto, according to Golf Canada. Furyk won the Canadian Open at the Hamilton Golf and Country Club in 2006 then followed that up with a win at Angus Glen in '07.

John Daly, Bubba Watson, former Canadian Open champ Scott Verplank and rising star Ricky Barnes also confirmed Thursday they would play.

Golf Canada announced that Canadians David Hearn, Jon Mills and Dustin Ridson were given exemptions into the tournament, increasing the Canadian content to 12. Stephen Ames, Mike Weir and PGA Tour rookie Graham DeLaet are the best Canadian hopes but Cam Burke, Nick Taylor, Eugene Wong, Matt Hill, Dave Bunker and Ben Boudreau will also tee it up at St. George's.

Other notables entered are Sean O'Hair, Rickie Fowler, Hunter Mahan, Luke Donald, Tim Clark, Y.E. Yang, Matt Kuchar and Paul Casey.
