A sneak peek of the first alleged photos of Tiger Woods since his reclusion following his car crash in November have surfaced online, to be published in the next issue of the National Enquirer.

The grainy photos on radaronline.com, owned by the National Enquirer's parent company, shows a man who appears to be the ex-golfer in white shorts, a white T-shirt, a black ball cap and a back hoodie. He appears alone, with a cup in his hand and milling around a brick building.

While there is no indication who took the photo or where, radaronline.com says it is taken outside a rehab clinic for sexual addiction in Hattiesburg, Miss.

Woods has reportedly checked into the Gentle Path program, part of Pine Grove Behavioral Health and Addiction Services. The clinic features a sexual addiction program created by Dr. Patrick Carnes, who specializes in treatment for sexually compulsive behaviour.

The Enquirer reports that Tiger is living without a roommate in one of the cottages at Gentle Path, where he checked into the six-week program on Dec. 30.

Despite the poor quality of the photograph, radaronline.com reports an eyewitness said Woods was recognizable in person.

Whoever took the photo might be in for a big payday. The first photo of Woods since the Nov. 27 crash that first exposed his philandering ways has been expected to fetch $250,000.

The photo, which went viral Wednesday, could be a public relations nightmare for Woods' handlers, who reportedly wanted the first post-scandal Woods photo to be one of a happy family, and in a better setting.

"The plan was to let an appropriate time pass and then issue one photograph wide to everyone in the media showing the family back together,” a source close to Woods told celebrity website popeater.com.

There is, however, no guarantee that photo will ever happen. His wife, Elin Nordegren, is reportedly still stinging from the long list of women who have come forward to claim they were Woods' mistresses, and she still has plans to divorce him.

Nordegren was photographed extensively over the holidays, vacationing in Sweden with her family, and has been spotted several times around her gated Florida neighbourhood, including recently when she ventured out with security guards in tow to pick up daughter Sam from a nursery school.
