Wie trails by six in Dubai

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates -- Michelle Wie managed an even-par 72 Thursday to finish two rounds six strokes off the lead at the Dubai Ladies Masters.

Wie completed 36 holes at Emirates Golf Club at one-under-par 143.

Lydia Hall posted a five-under 67 to take a one-stroke lead at the halfway point. Hall, who is from Wales, stands at seven-under-par 137 after two rounds.

Anna Nordqvist posted a four-under 68 and is alone in second place at minus-six. Iben Tinning is in third at five-under-par 139 after shooting a 69 in the second round.

Wie had an uneventful round Thursday. She parred her first three holes before making birdie on the par-three fourth. Wie ran off four straight pars from the fifth, then stumbled to a bogey on No. 9. She parred all nine holes on the back nine for her 72.

Hall birdied three in a row from the second. After birdies on six and eight, she faltered to bogeys on the ninth and 10th. Hall birdied 17 and 18 to take the second-round lead.

Christina Kim is also in the field this week. She had four birdies on the back nine, her first nine Thursday. Around the turn, Kim carded two more birdies and two bogeys for a four-under 68, which left her tied for seventh at three-under-par 141.
