It's going to take another day to settle the Ottawa Sun Scramble City Championship, Open B.

Tied with four-under par scores of 67 at Le Sorcier after the regulation 18 holes, the two-man teams of Randy Rosenthal/Brent Phillipps and Patrick McGowan/Darren Schmidt played three playoff holes without determining a winner.

With darkness falling, play was suspended.

"We are going to have an 18-hole playoff as soon as we can get the two groups together," said Karl Parks of Executive Golf, the event organizer.

Eighty teams competed in the inaugural Open B division, which comes on the heels of Monday's Women's and Junior events.

The Open division and the Seniors will be contested over 36 holes this Saturday and Sunday at Eagle Creek.

MCGEE IN CONTROL

Alan McGee of The Marshes built his lead at the OVGA's City and District Class A championship to six strokes going into today's final round at the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club.

McGee, who finished in second place last year, had a 3-over-par 73 yesterday at Kanata for a 36-hole total of 2-under 140.

Jeff Ivall of the Carleton Golf and Yacht Club also had a 73 and sits at 146.

Andrew Jensen of the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club carded a 75 and sits in third place at 147, one stroke better than Bill Holzman of Rideau View, whose 75 yesterday left him parked at 148.
