There is a four-way a top the leaderboard the Manitoba PGA's Titleist/Footjoy PGA Championship.

Geoff Kehler, Glen Mills, Dean North and Al Scott all came into the clubhouse at the St. Boniface Golf Course with a 71 yesterday to lead the 60-player field.

Rana McLeod has a one-stroke lead over Jennifer Ross in the women's event after firing an 81.

The three-day event continues today and tomorrow.

WOMEN'S NATS ON TAP: The Royale Cup National Women's Amateur Golf Championship swings into action today at the Moncton Golf and Country Club in Riverview, N.B.

Kaitlin Troop leads Team Manitoba into the event. She won the Manitoba Amateur last month by nine-strokes over provincial team teammate Stacy Bieber. Judi Lidstone and Jamie Jones round out the 'Toba side.

STEADY HNATIUK: Glen Hnatiuk fired an even-par 71 Sunday to finish tied for 42nd place at the Nationwide Tour's Preferred Health Systems Wichita Open. His four-round total of seven-under earned him $1,971.43 to bump his season winnings up to $52,611.

Hnatiuk carded a pair of 68s on Friday and Saturday, but he wasn't close to the red-hot Kevin Johnson, who won the event. Johnson shot four rounds in the 60s, including a final round 66 to finish at 18-under-par.

CANTOUR HIATUS: The Canadian Tour took a break last week after the MTS Classic at Pine Ridge. Play resumes on the tour this weekend in Quebec for the 2006 Casino de Montreal Open for the Players Championship. Winnipeggers Rob McMillan and Adam Speirs are in the field.
