Two out of three ain't bad and Meaghan LeBlanc knows it.

LeBlanc carded a 1-over 74 yesterday for a 225 total at Pinebrook Golf and Country Club, capturing her second Calgary Ladies Closed Amateur title in three years.

Suffice it to say, LeBlanc's had her fair share of success in the event, winning in 2003, finishing second in 2002 and placing fourth last year, but the 20-year-old Bearspaw member can't put her finger on why she's played so well.

"I don't know. Just lucky I guess," said LeBlanc with a laugh, adding she feels honoured to win again.

"It's a well-run, nice tournament."

LeBlanc, a finance major at Bradley University in Illinois, played steady golf through gusty winds and didn't really have any blow-up holes, save for a double-bogey on No. 15.

Candace Pasechnik (Calgary G&CC) also shot 1-over, finishing in a tie for second with Nicole Wyne (Glencoe), two strokes behind LeBlanc. Wyne, who started the final round tied for the lead with Lindsay McMillan (Glencoe), maintained a share of first until she hit the water at 17 and settled for a 77.

"I just didn't hit the ball as well as I did the first two days," said Wyne.
